Apparently I'm not the only person who doesn't get Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Now I have to admit, I've never seen his plays or his movies. I've just never been that drawn to any of them or had any of them recommended to me personally. I did try on more than one occasion to sit down and watch an episode of House of Payne. The acting seems amateurish at best, the writing is a bore, and the jokes themselves just seem to fall flat. According to Thembi over at The Smoking Section, I'm not the only one.
